Mr. Young's Reading Room |
10/19/08 |
Who enjoys water sports,
swimming, four wheeling, paint-balling, grilling, and still has
time to study for his Ph.D.? My second grade teacher! At least that
is what many second graders at McKinney Independent School District
can say about Chase Young. Young's website is a testament to his
own abilities as well as a resource for his kids. With a depth of
knowledge some veteran teachers of 30 years never find, Mr. Young
has surely found his niche in the dog-eat-dog world of 21st century
education. |

Author Joel Goulet |
09/01/08 |
It is a well known cliche that
you can't tell a book by its cover. However, nothing could be
closer to the truth in describing the website of author Joel
Goulet. This simple but functional, teal blue abhorrence showcases
the prose of an amazingly talented author, and Joel is generous
enough to share both screenplays, novel excerpts, and an
award-winning short story. Now if only we could convince him to
change his color scheme... |

Dusty Woodfield |
12/4/08 |
While hard to fit into this
award's criteria, Dusty Woodfield's website has a biography and a
poem in addition to three music tracks, pictures, and tour dates on
his website. We believe that music and visual arts are important
forms of communication as well, and thus we would be mistaken in
not promoting Mr. Woodfield's musical talent in addition to his
poetic inspiration. |
